Shivanthi began yoga classes at Still Lake Yoga Center in 2002 hoping to get some relief for stiff joints caused by rheumatoid arthritis. Not only did she accomplish that, but after many years of yoga study she became a teacher at the center in 2013.

She believes that a yoga program should encompass the whole yogic philosophy and include pranayama (special breathing exercises), asanas (postures), relaxation, meditation & yoga nidra. She endeavors to make her gentle yoga classes accessible to people with varying abilities and believes that consistent practice of all aspects of yoga brings tremendous benefits physically, mentally & spiritually.
