From Santiago, we took the BlaBla Bus to Porto, Portugal.
I took a picture of the elevator floors because in Spain and Portugal, they had -1 and a 0.

The Bus Station in Spain was so nice and clean.
Our Bus Ride and yes, lots of traffic.
We stayed at the beautiful Editory hotel and were greeted and given pastels. Little custard tarts for which they are famous for in Porto.
Nice warm, comfortable room, hot shower.
Walking around the next day, many of the building we passed were covered with colorful tiles, specifically azulejo tilework and Baroque sculptures.
More beautifully tiled buildings.
Stopped for a coffee and breakfast.
Se do Porto (Porto Cathedral) (from the web) This 18th century chapel is famous for being literally covered in blue and white tiles, designed by potter Eduardo Leite, depicting scenes from the lives of saints. While the architecture of the chapel is relatively simple, the fact that it’s covered with 15,947 tiles (can you imagine the amount of work?)is what makes it stand out. It’s no surprise that this is one of the most photographed landmarks in Porto.
We stopped in the Mercado do Bolhão– Bolhão Market is the most popular market in Porto located close to Aliados square. It was opened to public in 1914 and renovated in 2022. The dominant characteristic of the Bolhão market is its surrounding building with beautiful façade.
Sardines are a big thing here.
Architecture in the city of Porto did not disappoint. So many buildings adorned with
The day was sunny and comfortable, perfect for walking around river front. We had lunch on the river and dinner in a small restaurant overlooking the river.
We stopped at the ‘famous’ MacDonalds. The McDonald's in Porto, Portugal, located in the historic McDonald's Imperial, is famous for being considered one of the most beautiful McDonald's in the world due to its stunning Art Deco interior, featuring crystal chandeliers, ornate ceilings, stained-glass windows, and a large bronze eagle, all preserved from its former life as the elegant Café Imperial. It offers a luxurious contrast to typical fast-food outlets, attracting tourists for its unique architecture and photo opportunities.
Ate roasted chestnuts from a street vendor while waiting to go into the famous library in Porto, Portugal, is Livraria Lello, renowned as one of the world's most beautiful bookstores for its stunning Neo-Gothic architecture, grand red staircase, and ornate ceilings, often linked to inspiration for J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, (which she denies) though it charges a small entry fee redeemable against book purchases due to its immense popularity.
Climbed the Clerigos, Torre Igreja Museu, or Tower Church Museum. Many steps. Many of them worn scary. The view from the top was beautiful.
This was under construction when we where there.
